| Woot!! A new entry...gosh dang it. I've been gone long; I know. It's not like anyone actually reads. =3 But I shall update regardless.
"You must answer all questions to the best of your ability," the proctor stated banally as the test was placed in front of potential chuunin, "Have fun. Good luck. And most of all, no cheating," he said with great emphasis. Kai sighed upon looking at the test. By only using simple physics, these ten problems could easily be answered. However, it seemed that no answer would come to her. Her mind drew a constant blank, as the page before her. In her peripheral, she could see her comrades working tediously and quickly, not even attempting to look unsuspicious. Kai slowly looked up from her test and glanced over to the side at the back of her younger sister. She watched her intensely, as her sister slowly turned her head in Kai's direction. Her dark eyes were but a sliver, piercing through the light, cutting into the darkness.
Hidemi glared at her greatest enemy. The shadow that eclipsed her life. The girl who possessed power beyond comprehension. The girl who inherited the life of one who died. This is my enemy. "She must be killed...." Hidemi thought within. She snapped her head forward, looking over at her what would be considered her nephew, "...as well as you, Uchiha...Kiyone..."
Well, this what happens when you haven't written in months. XD It's not the best I've written, but I have to get back into the jive, ya know? =D
| "Team 13 from Konohagakure. Kimaro Mikoshin. Yoizumi Rintaro. and...." the man stopped for a moment, seemingly out of puzzlement. Mikoshin and Rintaro stood patiently, before Rintaro blurted out, "It's Kai!" His voice echoed rawly in the room. The man glanced up, exposing one of his dark green eyes, "Right," he nodded in perplexity, "Kai....just Kai." Solemly, Kai stood up, her eyes focusing straight ahead into nothing. "Here." She could feel Hidemi's eyes burning through her soul; she sat down. She sat down to face her enemy, glaring back at her. Kai folded her hands in front of her face, relaxed. Her eyes narrowed in disgust. This glaring battle could have gone on for an eternity, but time nor an advancing plotline did not permit this to happen. ^^b "Team 14 from Konohagakure..." Kai snapped out of her sudden death glare, perking up somewhat. She could have cared less who the other team members of Team 14 were, just as long as she heard his name. "Uchiha Kiyone." Almost immediately, the boy bearing the name stood up, his raven locks covering most of his face. He looked up confidently with his piercing grey eyes, "Here." Kai could not help but to smile. I believe they would call this a mother's joy or pride or whatnot. How lovely all the same. She never believed that he actually noticed her; he saw her as someone much older. At the mere thought, she cringed.
[currently working on a most awesome layout ^^b] And for that reason, it was time to eat dinner. ^^b Yah, it sucks, because I haven't been writing so much obviously. A month of not writing is absolutely detrimental. I feel like I've lost it. Oh well. It shall be better next time. Baiyou. Visitors. Readers. and Passersby. ^_^
| "All right everyone....welcome to the first part of the Chuunin exams. May all your dreams come true," Ibiki Morino said, sarcastically, "I am Morino Ibiki, the test proctor for the first part of the exam." The room was silent, not one moved, not one coughed. His eyes shifted from one end of the room to the other, looking at all the seemingly weak genin in the room. With a smile on his face, he let out a sigh and motioned for another man to come over. No one could see the man's face; it was covered by his long, brown hair. He held a clipboard and a pen in his hands. Coughing, he began a slight speech, “This year we’re doing the exams differently. As an effort to increase security, we will be doing a kind of roll call for each village. When I call your squad number from your respective village, the whole team will stand,” he rubbed his hidden eyes, further justifying the interests of the genin, “I will then proceed to call off the names of your teammates. You will respond quickly after your name is called.” Kai wondered if a roll call was really increasing security. It appeared to be more of a double edged sword. How lovely. She sighed, waiting patiently through the duration of the roll call. Her piercing grey eyes shifted over to a person she was sitting next to. Her skin was deathly pale, and her hair was a flat brown. Her gaze would not come off her; her anger could not stop burning within her. The girl, feeling the gaze of someone turned her head to Kai. In turn, Kai head turned to the other side. Slowly, her hand reached up to her face in utter disgrace. “Team 12.” The girl beside her stood up. The man continued to call out the names of Team 12’s members, until he came to one girl’s name. “Makiko Hidemi.” “Here,” the girl smiled, as she sat down. Kai heart sank, thinking, ‘Must I fight against my own sister?’ | | |
